This project in Wales was carried out on a site designated as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINC). We transferred grassland between sites two and a half miles away from each other by road. The total area of turf was approximately 12,000 m2. Our specially designed cutting heads were fitted to two thirteen ton hydraulic excavators and the work was carried out over six weeks during the winter months.

The success of the project can be seen by the picture of the wild flower in bloom three months later. We have completed a number of successful turf translocation projects nationwide as testimony to the quality of our system and approach.
