Welcome to part 2 of the garden transformation in Torquay.
The new sandstone patio has been laid with a gorgeous sweeping curve that draws the eye. The lower level has been laid to turf to create a gorgeous lawn area. The retaining wall has been stone clad with little nooks, perfect for candles in the evenings.
Now the steep land has taken shape with the expert help of our excavators and operatives, it’s time for planting and turfing. The rocks and boulders create areas of interest, as well as stabilising the land behind. Between these, planting has taken place with some beautiful plants – keep your eyes peeled for next spring when these have all settled in and filled out.
The green/blue on the banks is Hydroseed – this is a process of spraying a liquid slurry of seeds, mulch, water, fertilizer, and a tackifier onto prepared ground to establish vegetation. Perfect for on steep banks, as it keeps the grass seed in place. The roots will help stabilise the ground.
